'Zevi holds that a geometrical space is animated by gestures and actions of those who inhabit it.
.....'Zevi considers that the visual conception of space rests upon bodily component which the trainde eye of the expert observer must take into account. Zevi's book brings this 'lived' aspect of spatial experience, which thanks to its corporal nature has the capacity to incarnate into the realm of knowledge, and hence of 'consciousness' without ever entertaining the idea that such a bodily component of optical (geometrico-visual)space might put the priority of consciousness itself into question.'

'Thirdspace as lived space is portrayed as multisided and contradictory, oppressive and liberating, passionate and routine, knowable and unknowable. It is a space of radical openness, a site of resistance and struggle, a space of multiplicitous representations investigatable through its binarized oppositions but also where there are always 'other' spaces heterotopologies, paradoxial geographies to be explosed.'
